A community gathering under string lights in a small town square at dusk

The town still gathers

Photograph nights, walking tours, suppers, and recording days — the calendar is how the archive gets refilled, one conversation at a time.

This Season

Gatherings, walks, and work days

Meetings are open to anyone with an interest in the town — members, neighbors, and visiting descendants alike. No registration needed unless noted.

How It Works

Quarterly meetings, open doors

The society meets four times a year, with programs drawn from the archive and from whoever in the room has a story worth recording. Coffee at six, program at six-thirty.

  • Members and visitors are equally welcome — there is no door fee.
  • Bring photographs, documents, or questions; we often identify them on the spot.
  • Walks and work days are weather-dependent; write ahead if the sky looks doubtful.
